Voice Over and Voiceover Talent Services By D.C. Douglas:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Voice Over Talent D.C. Douglas Immortalized By GEICO
HOLLYWOOD, CA, March 1st, 2007 - Voice over professional D.C. Douglas has been permanently etched onto the American cultural landscape with his latest job. As the announcer for the current GEICO campaign that has been playing nationally for months now D.C. has been heard introducing "real people" along side the likes of Little Richard, Burt Bacharach, Mini Me, Peter Graves and Charo. The ads have become such cult hits that they're downloaded off YouTube daily.
As an on-camera actor in Los Angeles, D.C. is familiar with moments of pop-culture identity, as guest star spots on "Beverly Hills: 90210" and, more recently, "24" have brought the kind of attention that only fervent fans of pop culture can deliver.
Though his film and television credits are extensive and span almost twenty years, it's the simple voice over jobs that seem to get the most notice. Work such as voicing The Master character on the "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" video game and promo work for CBS Daytime Television.
However, Douglas notes, "Nothing compares to the emails and job requests that came in once the GEICO spots started airing. It's incredible, unexpected, and just wonderful. And funny! I mean, I never imagined I'd be doing the voice over for a spot that featured the Voice Over GOD Don Lafontaine!"
The GEICO spots may be going on hiatus soon, but Douglas is already in the booth voicing another campaign for a national company and will be seen in 4 different films coming out this year, including "Deadwater" where he plays the nemesis of Lance Henriksen.

Commercials, Corporate Training Videos, Powerpoint Narration, Infomercials, Automotive & Political, cartoon characters, event announcer, hard & soft sell -- you name it. L.A. Voiceover pro D.C. Douglas can voice it for you. Fast and within your budget. Free auditions.
The way it would work is this:
I would post the completed file online (locked within a player) and also send a PayPal invoice. After you listen to it and all is well, you just pay the invoice. Then I convert the listening page into a download page and it's yours to download. If there needs to be some redirection, I'm happy to rerecord and repost (longer projects will require a tone approval before proceeding). You only pay when you're happy. If there are rewrites after the initial recording, there is a small fee per rewritten page.
Turn-around is usually 24 hours or less.
Hope I can be of service!
Don't worry. I'm not selling Viagra or mortgages! Saw your CraigsList ad;
I'm a voice-over veteran (20 years experience) here in L.A. with a home ISDN/Mp3 studio.
My demos, credits and studio details can be found at http://www.MyVoiceOverGuy.com or I can send you a CD via mail, or MP3s via email. If you require an .mp3 audition, I'm happy to oblige.
I'm SAG and AFTRA but also Financial Core for both (allowing me to do non-union as well) and can perform via ISDN/phone patch/Mp3s to anywhere in the world from my studio within 24 hours or less. (Or come to yours if you're in L.A.)
I also don't litter and am good to animals... Guess that part was unnecessary.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
Here is my demo. For more demos or info on my studio and career, please visit www. MyVoiceOverGuy.com.
I am located in Hollywood, CA and have ISDN, Phone Patch, and any format output you need.
Thanks!
The voice over industry is going through a cyber revolution. Many production houses, advertising agencies and small businesses are finding their voice over talent directly on the internet. The technology now allows voice artists to record in their home studios and email their commercial or narrations back to the client.
Moving into this brave new world is television and film actor D. C. Douglas.
Originally from Northern California, D. C. Set up shop in L. A. In 1985. He soon discovered that every where he went people would ask if he did voice overs. Figuring that he should "give the people what they want, " he enrolled in private voice over lessons with the late, great Barbara Gill. This proved to be useful, not only for his voice over career, but for his on-camera acting career as well.
The technique of voice over is to communicate entirely with the nuances of the voice. To accomplish this, one must go beyond mere technique and into the realm of feeling emotion. After many years solely as a voice over actor, that background helped him get his break with the NBC hit sitcom "Boston Common" playing a character named (of all things) 'D. C. '. Many more film and television roles followed, but he always has kept one foot firmly planted in the voice over industry.
Recently he has been seen in several films and guest starred on "ER", "NYPD Blue" and "Las Vegas, " to name a few.
Now, whenever he's between TV and film jobs, D. C. Performs voice over directly from his home studio to production houses and companies around the U. S. And the world, most recently Ireland and the UAE.
D. C. Douglas and My Voice Over Guy provides 24 hour or less turn-around for all forms of voice over narration to meet the needs of the voice over cyber-revolution. Projects range from radio and television commercials to long form powerpoint presentations and on-hold voice mail greetings.
