Good God! What The Hell Is This?!

You've landed on the blog cross section of my two careers: film / tv /stage acting and voice over hoopla. Sometimes I veer off the road into gadfly-ism or schmaltz. Mostly I play with my belly button and pretend it's someone else's finger. - D.C. Douglas

I guess I have arrived!  After 25 years in Los Angeles, finally one of the many cheesy things I’ve done for a paycheck has landed on E’s “The Soup”…  (See original blog a few days ago for more of The Bold And The Beautiful).

  • My mother used to watch this for the sole purpose of ‘switching off her brain’ after an 18 hour shift in her clinic. It would often leave me feeling as though my I.Q was non-existant and I was left literally experiencing the sensation of brain cells dying. It was like injesting a hullucingen and inhailing fish oil while choking on a stimulant at the same time. Then like a blessing from the heavens it went away and life made sence again. Unfortunately, the fates decided that torturing me was amusing as hell and it returned like a bad smell invading all my senses. But then out of the darkness came a light, the messia from above graced my television screen! It was such a historical and biblical event that my mother no longer needed to watch any sort of soap opera again. Nothing on the planet could get her to wonder about them either. Now she has Boston Legal and the world is balanced once more and my brain remains intact. I am telling you Gods name is William Shatner and he’s Canadian.

Bloody hell why weren’t you on that show? You’d definately make a good client/lawyer with some kind of behavior disorder.

On a side note: You were a doctor on BB and now the minister. Don’t they keep up with their own crap? SADDNESS!

    • We can blame my agents for Boston Legal… As for BnB, I’ll be happy to show up in any profession they need. I haven’t been a lawyer yet there. just a doctor, computer programmer, civil servant and minister. The beauty is, they all pay the same!

As for your Mother, I’m glad she’s found peace with Kirk. ;-)

  • Moms really don’t get much of those. So when it does happen even if it’s brief, it’s always a happy moment. Your mother wrote The Crooked Eye as a novel right? Then you adapted it for the movie? I haven’t seen it yet but was it something you wanted to do for her? If so that is AWESOME and you should be getting many many hugs!
