Having customizable promotional capabilities is a critical feature of MVOG that enables our customers to create a compelling shopping experience and continually react to market opportunities with the goal of maximizing revenue. These promotional capabilities are flexible and customizable to meet the unique characteristics of almost any ecommerce business. To begin, let us introduce you to the My voice over Guy Talent – the site management tool used by marketers and merchandisers to optimize their site on a daily basis (pause 2 seconds). Within the Online Marketing section you will see a link to Promotions and Discounts (pause 2 seconds). Currently this storefront has a few previously configured promotions (pause 2 seconds). Let’s take this opportunity to set up a new promotion with the intent of increasing both average order value and average units per transaction – both key performance indicators of any online retail business (pause 5 seconds). Next, you are given an opportunity to define a Target Group for your promotion (pause 3 seconds). For this particular campaign, we are going to assign the promotion to ”everyone”. However, as you can see, there is a significant amount of flexibility to target and segment promotions to meet the needs of your business. Examples of segmentation types include specific customers, marketing partners and affiliates. Now, we can begin to establish the specifics of this offer – which we will define as a 25% discount on any DVD player with the purchase of any Television. The first step in the process of defining your discount parameters is to establish the Activation Rules. The Activation Rules allow our customers to manage the timeframes of their promotions. For this promotion we are going to define it so that it is valid every Sunday during our promotion period. After the Activation Rules have been established, you can define the promotion’s Discount Rules. Discount Rules are a set of Conditions that must exist for a promotion to be executed. The primary Condition for this promotion is that the customer must purchase a television to qualify for the 25% discount on a DVD player. The My voice over Guy Talent makes defining these conditions easy and intuitive and provides visual assistance to find the appropriate products or categories (pause 5 seconds). The final step in the set-up process is to define the action to be taken once the condition has been met. For our demo promotion, the customer will receive a 25% discount on a DVD player after they’ve added a television to their shopping cart (pause 5 seconds). Now that the promotion has been customized, it is as easy as a mouse click to bring the promotion live. Simply click the Publish Now button and the My voice over Guy Talent will display a message informing you the promotion has been published (pause 5 seconds).
